ClueNet:SSL

From ClueWiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Many protocols used on Cluenet – LDAP, HTTP, IRC, OpenVPN – are secured using SSL/TLS, with servers being identified using certificates issued by our local Certificate Authorities. You will need the following certificates installed and trusted to securely connect to most of our services.

Cluenet

The official Cluenet certificate authority, managed by Crispy.

  • Fingerprint: c4:9a:34:87:9c:ab:13:bb:5d:0f:97:77:d8:6d:95:f5:d2:11:9b:c7

Nullroute

Due to Crispy's persistent unavailability, many services use certificates issued by grawity.

  • Fingerprint: 7f:89:d9:c7:ac:f2:a2:a8:94:ac:47:b1:7d:81:3f:1a:89:9a:de:db

Self-signed certificates

Also known as "security through being a lazy ass", some services use self-issued certificates (often from Snake Oil CA.), which are only as good as locking a door with chewing gum. Avoid doing either.
