ClueNet:Official Integration Guidelines

From ClueWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

If you would like to officially integrate your server into Cluenet, we do have some requirements.

  • We prefer root access to quickly fix problems and synchronize configuration files, but it is not necessary if you are available, willing, and able to fix problems as they occur, and if you use automatically synchronized distconf.
  • We prefer IPv6 compatibility to integrate with the rest of the IPv6 network, but it is not necessary. IPv6 via a tunnel is acceptable.
  • We require reasonable uptime and resources to handle potential load so the server can be a good representative for Cluenet.
  • We require the administrator of the server to be competent and trustworthy, as he and the server will have access to user documents, passwords, keys, and private information.
  • We require the server to have it's default domain name be cluenet.org and may ask that the server's official hostname fit the Cluenet naming scheme.

If you would like to integrate your server into Cluenet officially, please ask one of the network operators on ClueIRC, and we can discuss it. Unofficial integration is also possible - the instructions are public and will work without private information.
