ActiveRPG is an IRC game a lot like IdleRPG, but you gain points by being active as opposed to being idle.

ActiveRPG's points are what are gained by being active. They are also used in fights.

[edit] Gaining points

There are various ways you can gain points:

[edit] Talking

Yes, talking is the main way to get points! You get approximately 1 point for every letter you type.

[edit] Fights

Winning fights is another good way to get points. But, be careful, if you lose the fight, you lose points! Furthermore, if you beat the other person by 3000 points, you are eligible for a chance to steal some of his points.

[edit] Godsends

Godsends are random events that will give you points. These events cannot be affected by anything you do.

[edit] Hand of God

The hand of God is another random event that will either give you points, or take points away.

[edit] Changing your nick

Yes, you can gain points by changing your nick, but excessive nick changes *will* be punished.

[edit] Gifts

Other users may choose to give you points.

[edit] Selling to the store

If you sell to the store, you get points.

[edit] Depositing your points

If you deposit your points in the bank, you will earn a percentage.

[edit] Losing points

There are also various ways you can lose points:

If you idle while logged in, you will lose points.

[edit] Fights

Losing a fight will make you lose points. Also if someone fights you and lands a critical hit, they can steal your points.

Calamities are random events that will cause you to lose points.

The hand of God is another random event that will either take points away, or give you points.

If you give someone points, you will no longer have those points.

[edit] Buying from the store

If you buy an item from the store, you will no longer have those points.

[edit] Quitting

Quitting, rather than logging out, will deduct a fair amount of points.

Leaving the channel (parting) will cause you to lose even more points than quitting.

Being kicked will cause you to lose even more points than parting.

Levels are basically a way to tell if someone is in your league or not. Levels are based purely on points.

Items are things you can find that alter one or more of the following things: Speed, defense, and offense. Speed changes the conversion rate between letters and points. Defense changes the odds of fending off an attack. Offense changes the odds of successfully attacking. Everyone starts with a basic sword.

There are several commands. The private message commands don't need a prefix, but in-channel commands require the ! prefix.

Syntax: REGISTER <Username> <Password> <Password>
The register command creates a user account on the bot.

Syntax: IDENTIFY <Username> <Password>
The identify command logs you into the bot.

Syntax: LOGOUT
The logout command logs you out of the bot.

[edit] Toss

Syntax: TOSS <Item>
The toss command gets rid of an item you do not wish to keep.

Syntax DROP <Username> <Password> <Password>
The drop command removes your account on the bot.

The fight command will make you fight a random logged in person.

The fightn command will make you fight someone.

Syntax: STORELIST
The storelist command will show the items available from the store, and their prices.

Syntax: STOREBUY <Item>
The storebuy command will let you buy an item from the store.

Syntax: STORESELL <Item>
The storesell command will let you sell an item to the store.

Syntax: STATEMENT
The statement command will let you see how many points you have in the bank.

Syntax: DEPOSIT <Points>
The deposit command will let you deposit points into your bank account.

[edit] Withdraw

Syntax: WITHDRAW <Points>
The withdraw command will let you withdraw points from your bank account.

[edit] Fights

Fights are determined by two things: Your roll and your opponent's roll. The minimum you may roll is 1, the maximum is your offense% + 100% of your points. The minimum your opponent may roll is 1, the maximum is their defense% + 100% of their points. Whoever has a higher roll wins. If you have a roll higher than their roll by more than 3000, you have a chance at stealing some of their points by landing a critical hit.

The store is a place where you can buy and sell items for a price based on the item's stats and your level. Commands: StoreList StoreBuy StoreSell

The bank is a place where you can keep your points. You gain a 2% interest rate on all your points in the bank compounded hourly.
